A fantastic opportunity has opened up within a leading independent specialist poultry feed suppliers for a Mill Engineer to join the Maintenance team to work alongside the electrical engineers . The company has an extensive range of diets of which are bespoke, manufactured to the specific needs of its customers. The successful applicant will integrate into the Engineering team to provide maintenance support to the mill. This opportunity would be great for an individual that wants to join a family run business that looks after its staff. This role is a day’s role however the company requires the ideal candidate to be flexible.

Requirements for Maintenance Engineer:  

  • Apprenticeship – (Essential)
  • ONC Electrical and/or suitable relevant equivalent experience - (Optional).
  • ONC Mechanical and/or suitable relevant equivalent experience - (Essential)
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (Optional)
  • Experience within a mill (Beneficial not essential)
  • Experience within food environment (Optional)

Duties for Maintenance Engineer :

  • Provide day to day Maintenance support to ensure minimal machine/ site downtime.
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance Schedules (PM’s) across site in a pro-active manner.
  • Work both independently and as part of an established shift team(s).
  • Mechanical fault finding, repair work, PM’s including electrical and mechanical modifications on a variety of complex machinery using problem solving and analytical fault finding skills.
  • Be able to follow Hydraulic and Pneumatic drawings to aid with fault finding (dependant on complexity/ individual skill bias).
