Position: Maintenance Electrician

Salary: £38,240

Benefits: Pension, Sick pay, 23+8days holiday, Productive Bonus, Healthcare

Rotating Shift Work: 2Weeks on Nights 10pm till 6am / 1 week on earlies 6am till 2pm / 1 week on Afternoons

2pm till 10pm

Location: Manchester


An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Electrician, the ideal candidate will hold both Mechanical and Electrical abilities and ideally to have previous experience within an automotive environment.


  • Team performance and Health and Safety standards.
  • Good fault finding abilities and resolving issues in a breakdown environment.
  • Knowledge and programming of PLC systems Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi, various HMI’s.
  • Industrial electrician, with a recognised qualification.
  • 17th Edition certified or working towards certification.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with ABB and/or Fanuc robots.
  • Experience of various micro-soft and industrial computer applications.
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic skillset.
  • Variable speed drives
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working both autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Self-development with maintaining knowledge of current regulations.
  • Flexibility to support shift patterns including nights.
  • Working within a unionised manufacturing environment.
  • Share your knowledge and strengthen the way we do things.


  • Automated industrial network systems, Modbus, Modbus +, Ethernet TCP/IP and Profibus.
  • Instrumentation systems.
  • Facilities maintenance on building and associated equipment.
  • Knowledge of polyurethane or plastics processing machinery.
  • AutoCAD use.
  • FLT driver, MEWP user, Scaffold Tower user, SCBA, First Aider trained.


  • Ensuring that all plant and equipment are functioning correctly and optimised.
  • Continual improvement of equipment.
  • Introduction of corporate engineering systems, incorporating new technology innovations.
  • Keep up to date with new regulations.
  • Ensure that all standards are kept up to date.
  • Ensure that all equipment meets electrical standards.
  • Maintaining records, documentation and organisation of data.
  • Inclusion in reactive and preventive maintenance program.
  • Adhere to 5S system and good housekeeping.
  • Any other duties as considered appropriate to this position.
