An exciting challenge within Consulting Engineering – are you a Civil Engineer looking for a new challenge?

The company has been established for over 30 years and is experienced in the delivery of Value Added Structural, Civil, Traffic & Transport, and Geotechnical Engineering services to its clients, throughout the East and West Midlands.

Due to continued growth with projects across the West Midlands, the company have decided to open a new office in Birmingham which will service the local area. The Civil Engineer within this new Birmingham office will work on projects across Birmingham City Centre as well as Worcester, Redditch and Longbridge.

As an experienced Civil Engineer you will find that this company allows you to gain exposure to a range of exciting projects within the building structures industry, and you will be working in conjunction with an experienced team of 9 other Consultants which are based in their East Midlands office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer who is looking for autonomy on projects that you may not currently be getting. You will be a part of a new development for this already successful business, right from the outset. With that in mind, Civil Engineer’s who will apply for this role must be capable of working independently as well as integrated within a remote team. You will work alongside an experienced Structural Engineer who is also based from this new office.


  • You will represent the company at external and internal meetings with clients, extending their positive position in the Building Structures world 
  • Lead civil engineering design aspects on multiple projects
  • The applicants will have to manage large and small contracts and report on contracts to either the associate or structural engineering director.
  • Prepare client / project proposals
  • Assist in negotiating fee proposals
  • Construct project teams from internal and external resources.

Suitable applicants will:

  • Have 5-6years’ experience in Civil Engineering, ideally within a Consultancy environment.
  • Be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
  • Have experience using Microdrainage and/or Civil 3D
  • Have good understanding of section 38, 278 and 104 agreements
  • Ideally be a Chartered Engineer
  • Be experienced in working on Building Structures projects.
  • Be conversant or have knowledge of the design of structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, structural masonry and timber
